The 41 year old rapper made this shocking confession on July 27 after he watched "the Alexander McQueen documentary". Alexander McQueen who was a British designer committed suicide by hanging himself on February 11, 2010.
Kanye wear looks to have been greatly affected by the new documentary on the Alexander's life that he took to Twitter to share how he felt about the movie.

I saw the Alexander McQueen documentary and I connected with his journey. I know how it feels to want to take your life back into your own hands even if it means taking your own life.

This is apparently not the first time Kanye has confessed to wanting to kill himself . He admitted to wanting to kill himself in an an interview with the New York Times in June where he talked about his track " I thought about killing you" and confess there's a literal metaphorical meaning to the song.

He said in the interview "Oh yeah, I’ve thought about killing myself all the time. It’s always a option and [expletive],”
